Shipping & Returns Policy

I’m Rachel, the goldsmith behind Rachel Swan Goldsmith. Every piece is made and packed with care from my workshop in Marlay Park, Dublin. Below you’ll find how I handle shipping, delivery, returns and exchanges.
Shipping
Order processing times

Ready-to-ship pieces: usually dispatch within 2–3 business days.

Made-to-order pieces: please allow a little longer while I make your piece at the bench. I’ll email an estimated dispatch date after you order.

I’ll always let you know if there’s any unexpected delay.
Delivery times (guide)

Ireland: typically 1–2 business days after dispatch.

UK & EU: usually 3–7 business days after dispatch.

USA & International: usually 5–10 business days after dispatch.
These timeframes are estimates from my carriers and can vary with customs, weather and peak periods.
Carriers, tracking & signature

Orders ship with trusted carriers (DHL express), tracked and signature on delivery where available.

You’ll receive tracking details by email as soon as your parcel is on its way.

Shipping fees are shown at checkout for your location.
Packaging
Every order arrives in my grey & gold jewellery boxes, tied with green grosgrain ribbon — safe, gift-ready, and a pleasure to open.
Taxes, duties & customs

Ireland & EU: prices include VAT; no customs duties on EU deliveries.

UK, USA & other countries: local taxes, import duties and handling fees may be charged by your customs authority or carrier. These are the buyer’s responsibility.

I can’t mark parcels as gifts or under-declare values.
Address changes & missed deliveries

If you need to change your address before dispatch, email info@rachelswan.com as soon as possible.

If a delivery attempt is missed, the carrier will leave instructions for re-delivery or collection. Uncollected parcels returned to me can be re-shipped (additional postage may apply).
Lost or damaged parcels

If your parcel looks damaged on arrival, please photograph the packaging and contents and contact me within 48 hours so I can help.

For parcels that appear delayed or lost, I’ll liaise with the carrier and keep you updated.
Returns & Exchanges
I want you to be delighted with your piece. If something isn’t quite right, I’ll do my best to help.
Return window

You may return eligible items within 14 days of receiving your order for a refund to your original payment method.

Please email info@rachelswan.com before sending anything back so I can provide return instructions.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, items must be:

Unworn, in the original condition and packaging (including box).

Returned safely packaged and tracked — until I receive the parcel, it remains your responsibility.
Items that can’t be returned

Earrings (for hygiene reasons), unless faulty.

Made-to-order, resized, or personalised pieces (including engravings), unless faulty.

Gift cards.
If you’re unsure whether your item is eligible, just email me and I’ll advise.
Exchanges
If you’d prefer an exchange (for example, a different chain length), email me and I’ll confirm options and any price differences. Exchanges follow the same condition checks as returns.
Ring resizing & small repairs
I can resize most rings and carry out small repairs on my own pieces. Email info@rachelswan.com with your order details and I’ll quote and arrange this for you.
Return shipping costs

For change-of-mind returns, the customer covers return postage.

If an item is faulty or I’ve made a mistake, I’ll of course cover or reimburse reasonable return shipping.
Refunds

Once I receive and inspect your return, I’ll email you to confirm approval and process your refund to the original payment method.

Banks can take 5–10 business days to show the funds.

Original shipping fees are not refundable (unless the item is faulty).
Gifts
If your item was received as a gift, I can arrange an exchange or credit to the original purchaser, or — if preferred — to you once the return is received and approved.
Faulty or incorrect items
Quality matters to me. If your item arrives damaged or incorrect, please email photos and your order number to info@rachelswan.com within 48 hours of delivery and I’ll put it right.
How to start a return

Return the item tracked, keeping your receipt and tracking number.

I’ll confirm when it arrives and process your refund or exchange.
